Things are going really well here in DC. I am really having the time of my life out here. DC is such an exciting place and I have met some really special people here. I will definitely keep in touch with many of my new friends for many years to come. I am really enjoying my internship here as well. Everyone is really nice to me there. My time here in DC is going so fast! I cannot believe that I have been here for a month already. May will probably come fast, but hopefully I can stick around for the summer. I have a feeling that this city will always hold a special place in my heart.
I headed to New York on Friday night for our annual winter March of Dimes meeting in White Plains. I traveled by train with another council member from DC on Friday night. We didn't arrive there until after midnight, but it was a fun trip. It was also my first time taking the train since I normally fly out of Wisconsin. We went into the city on Saturday and walked around Times Square. I am now back in DC and ready for the week to begin!
